Hiring an architect for home renovations or commercial refits that require permits is an expensive process given that there is an alternative solution.

The city requires professional architectural drawings with all the appropriate code notes, measurements and specifications by a licensed professional who can assess the property and draw up plans according to the current building codes. Permit drawings require the Technologist to be licensed by the Ministry of Housing and Municipal Affairs and hold a valid BCIN (building code identification number) and stamp.
